Child Development & Mental Health

Youth represent Tanzania's greatest potential, yet too many lack opportunities to grow their talents and potentials. NFF empowers young people through vocational training, leadership programs, and mental health awareness campaigns — building safe environments where children are free from harm and abuse.

Key Challenges

  • Over 3.2 million children (ages 7–17) are out of school

  • Many lack access to safe environments, proper care, and mental health support

  • Vulnerabilities increase due to poverty, gender disparities, and limited protection systems

NFF Response

Every child deserves a safe environment to grow, learn, and thrive.

NFF works to:

  • Improve childcare access, nutrition, hygiene, and mental wellness

  • Build safe, protective environments free from abuse and neglect

  • Deliver life-skills training for youth (15–30)

  • Provide mentorship, career guidance, and entrepreneurship support

  • Create safe spaces such as Boys & Girls Clubs with sports, arts, and wellness programs
